Striking purple, sand and white double ikat forms a graceful grid of diamond shapes in a hand-woven cotton from India with ikat's signature softly beautiful blur. Some of the most interesting and soulful fabrics are coming out of India today where textile traditions continue. Double Ikat is a technique in which both warp and the weft are resist-dyed prior to weaving, so it it is the most difficult to make and more expensive. Mid/light weight, opaque with a lightly textured appealing cool hand, 4½" repeat and airy drape. The weight is right for a tunic, shirt, light jacket, vest, dress, skirt or soft pants.

Pre-treat by wash/dry gentle. After sewing wash gentle and air dry.
